Hinenuitepó

from 120.00

Hinenuitepó, Maori goddess that leads us from the physical world to our spiritual world. A humble, beautiful woman that dedicated herself to looking after the spiritual welfare of us when we die, walking us down the road of Táhekeroa to our final point of departure, Te Reinga, Aotearoa for Hawaiiki. She wears greenery - Taua, which is very symbolic of mourning. The Hei Tiki is a reminder of the first born child on earth as we know it. Her Moko Kauwae is my own, a gesture to the many loved ones I have had the privelige of doing the last Karanga for.

  • A print from original work on canvas by Paitangi Ostick.
  • Hinenuitepóis available on A4 and A3 Hahnemühle Matt Fine Art German Etching 310gsm paper.
